couldnt agree more with this article. I was thinking all these things yesterday when i heard his comments. He is a a joke, I know he needs to say things to draw people in but come on. Mason has been a top tier goalie since coming to Philly. Sure he has allowed some cheap goals but he has been solid.

Exactly. I just couldn't believe Keith Jones standing next to him and not offering a rebuttal, like c'mon man you've seen Mason play the whole year behind this defense. When your 2nd in the league in GAA and 4th in save % you're doing something right.

Amazing blog Bill! Carving Milbury up like a Thanksgiving turkey!

Any idea why Keith Jones just stood there yesterday and allowed Milbury to spew his bluster? I mean Jones has seen Mason as much as anyone in the MSM. Was very disappointing for Jones to just stand there and not at least heartily disagree with Milbury.

Mike Milbury - You've been MELTZED!

I think the only legitimate criticism that can be directed at Mason would be his save percentage in the skills competition. Interesting, at #53 among goalies he is one slot higher than Jonathan Quick.

I don't think of Jonesy as particularly confrontational. You'd need someone as loudmouthed as a Cataldi to take on Milbury.

My only question is why is he still employed?? Is it that hard to find a commentator to work pregame and between periods of a network hockey broadcast?

Hell, I was Radio, TV, Film major (Temple U. Class of 88!), I'd be happy to take the gig!

I don't think you have to be confrontational to call out someone who is full of poop. Doesn't Jones want a modicum of credibility?

Not only still employed with his lack of credibility, and constant bluster...

How the hell did he survive this??

Now that's a beat down. Nice job!

I remember Jones rolling his eyes a couple of months ago at some of Mildouche's statements. Wish I had a GIF of that....it was priceless.

I think one thing all NHL fans can agree on.... Milbury is a tool box.

That was so enjoyable.

I can see him with that stunned deer in the headlights look that he gets on the once in a blue moon that someone calls him on being WRONG.

Wonderful job Bill!!

NBC has to be trotting Milbury out there like this on purpose, right? Sort of an "any press is good press" sort of thing? Either way, he has just been ANNIHILATED.

After his widely publicized mangling of the Islanders, it's incredible that anybody would actually hire him as an "analyst".

Edit: Oh.... and he assaulted a child too.

Well done, Bill. Too bad the water couldn't throw Milbury off the NBC set:

Good Lord that is a lengthy list of failure. But honestly though, it's not just Millbury. My boss at work wanted to trade him after his last injury. It took everything in my power not to drive the claw end of my hammer into his forehead. And there are quite a few people outside of being flyers' fans who don't you can win a cup with him.

Yup, or the Tampa Bay "Japanese ownership" that may or may not have actually existed. Or perhaps (ex-Flyer) Len Barrie.

Good read, made my eyes go wide open and chuckle at times, even in Columbus I thought Mace was a good goalie, but clearly his confidence was shattered because management expected him to repeat a miracle season on mind you a very average cbj team on paper, that being said glad to see have success in a great hockey market such as philly and not crash and burn like Raycroft or Jim Carey.

Great job, Bill.

No one in the hockey media doubles down on their own stupidity the way Mike Milbury does.

If he's there to be a troll, then fine.....at least be an entertaining troll. He's a charmless troll, which is the very worst kind of troll.
